What is Aerial Silks?

Aerial silks (also called aerial fabric, tissu, or simply “silks”) is an aerial art performed on two long lengths of soft, strong fabric suspended from the ceiling. You climb, wrap the silk around your body, and move through poses, spins, and dramatic drops, all supported by the fabric and your own growing strength. It looks like magic and feels like flying, but every move is built on technique you can learn step by step. If you’ve watched a silks performer and thought “I could never do that,” this is the class that proves you can.

Beginner Aerial Silks Classes – No Experience Needed

You don’t need to be strong, flexible, or coordinated to start aerial silks, you build all of that in class. Our beginner aerial silks classes in Orlando start with the fundamentals: safe gripping, foundational climbs, basic wraps, and how to move on the fabric with control. Because our classes stay small, your coach sees every student and meets you exactly where you are. Most beginners are surprised how quickly their first climb turns into their first pose, and their first real “I can’t believe I just did that” moment.

Aerial Silks for Adults

Aerial silks is one of the most rewarding things you can do as an adult. It’s a full-body workout disguised as play, building grip and core strength, flexibility, and body awareness while you actually enjoy yourself. Whether you’re an athlete looking for a new challenge or someone who hasn’t worked out in years, our adult aerial silks classes welcome you exactly as you are. No gym background, no experience, no problem.

Aerial Silks for Kids

For kids, aerial silks build strength, coordination, focus, and a quiet confidence that carries into everything else they do. In a safe, encouraging environment, young students learn to climb and pose on the fabric while developing real physical literacy, and having a blast doing it. Our coaches specialize in making first tries feel like wins, so kids leave class proud and already asking when they can come back.

What to Expect in Your First Class

Nervous about your first class? Don’t be – everyone starts here. Wear fitted athletic clothing that covers the backs of your knees (leggings are perfect), leave the jewelry at home, and skip lotions on class day so you can grip the fabric. Arrive a few minutes early, meet your coach, and we’ll take it from there. You’ll learn on the silks over safety mats, at a pace that’s challenging but never overwhelming. All you have to bring is a willingness to try.

Practice on Your Own – Open Gym

Ready to log extra time on the silks? Our Open Gym sessions give you space to practice what you’ve learned on your own schedule, in the same safe, dedicated environment, perfect for building strength and drilling skills between classes.

“An amazing place to learn different aerial arts. My husband and I took the trapeze class and had a great time. (He was way better than I was) The teachers really helped explain things and it was impressive to see how much work goes into the different moves. Certainly worth trying a class!”
